Looff Carrousel Rental
Grab the brass ring on Spokane’s famous 1909 Looff Carrousel which can be rented for private use during non-public hours of operation. Make your next event extra special by hosting it at the carrousel. Our carrousel has been used for birthdays, brunches, dinners, weddings, and receptions.
Our hand-carved wooden carrousel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is considered to be one of the best preserved wooden carrousels in the United States. Our Looff Carrousel features 54 horses, 1 “Sneaky” tiger, 1 giraffe, an Ibex goat, and 2 Chinese dragon chairs.
Another popular idea is our “Ice Cream Sundae Social” package and carrousel rides. This can be arranged during regular hours or as a private rental.
The carrousel can accommodate 72 seated guests for a banquet. During warm weather, the Riverside patio can be used as well. This will allow you to seat up to 200 guests. There is a fee for additional tables and benches.
Riverfront’s Looff Carrousel is a treasure. During your event, please be kind to our horses and animals. After all, they are 100 year old antiques!
Our Riverfront Park Catering Service is available to cater your event. Your group may also use the services of an approved outside caterer or have a “potluck” event. Events catered by Riverfront Park are not charged the additional use fee. (Use fees are determined by the size of your group and the planned use.)
The carrousel building contains: restrooms, and trash cans. The area will be cleaned and setup prior to your event. Our hospitality staff will be present to help ensure your event is a success. Electrical outlets are limited.
Rental Fee(s):
Rental includes an extra half-hour for move in and an extra half-hour for move out.
$350.00 Two hour rental and includes one hour of carrousel operation with 1/2 hour of move in and 1/2 hour of move out
$575.00 Three hour rental with two hours of operation
$775.00 Four hour rental with three hours of operation
Use Fee: $1.50 per person (Minimum)
Deposit: $100.00 (Required. Applied to balance.)
Must sign RFP Private Rental Agreement.
ICE PALACE RENTAL
The Riverfront Park Ice Palace is available for Private Rentals. Individuals and groups of all ages are welcome to “rent the ice” during non -public hours of operation. Hockey teams are also welcome to purchase ice time for practice, or even a pick-up game. Broom-ball equipment is available to rent at an additional charge.
Rental Fee(s):
- Regular per-hour rate: $175.00
- Risk waver required for certain activities
- Non-prime time (early morning and late night): Negotiable
- Skate rental available: $2.75 per person if paid as a group/$3.25 if paid individually
Ice rentals can be used in combination with other Riverfront Park attractions including our banquet facility.

The Riverfront Park IMAX Theater is available for private events and rentals and is a great venue for on screen audio visual presentations such as power point. The theater will seat up to 342 people in comfortable padded seats, and can be rented with or without an IMAX movie presentation. In addition to the Theater the IMAX lobby can be used for receptions and displays.
The IMAX projector is only used with 70mm IMAX film and is capable of filling the 60 foot by 59 foot screen with and image only a giant screen IMAX projector can produce. Our projection system is 2D only. In addition, the theater is equipped with a video projector capable of a 1280 X 800 resolution and can handle a 16 X 10 Aspect ratio if needed. It meets and exceeds the High Definition standard of 720 progressive lines of resolution. DVD and Blu-Ray discs can be utilized with this projector along with 5 point surround sound. The video projector can also display any computer image at high resolution, but with no audio with PC use. Remote video control is available with on screen pointer.
The IMAX lobby can be used for information and vendor displays and booths along with catered receptions. The serving of alcohol is permitted with certain requirements. Riverfront Park Food Service is available to provide catering services or an outside cater can also be used. The Services of the Theater Concession area can also be arranged for such treats as popcorn.
Vehicle access to the IMAX Theater can be arranged for the move in and move out process. Other parking arrangements can be secured.
