Forestry Shelter
The Forestry Shelter is nestled among the trees and green meadows in the east side of Riverfront Park. It is a popular location for company picnics, convention barbecues, and other outdoor activities.
Our Riverfront Park Catering Service is available to cater your activity. Your group may also use the services of an approved outside caterer or have a “potluck” event. Events catered by Riverfront Park are not charged the additional use fee. (Use fees are determined by the size of your group and the planned use.)
When you reserve the Forestry Shelter, your rental fee includes: park style tables and benches, a built-in barbecue, restrooms, a sink with running water, electricity, and trash cans. The area will be cleaned and setup prior to your event. Our hospitality staff will be present to help ensure your event is a success.
The Forestry Shelter provides covered seating for up to 300 guests. The Forestry Shelter and the surrounding area can accommodate up to 650 guests. Our Northbank Shelter, on the north side of the park, is also available for rental.
We offer group discounts for all park attractions to groups of 15 or more. If your group purchases Summer Day Passes and/or IMAX tickets, we will credit 30% of the price paid to your additional use fee.
The Peak Time rental fee can be reduced and satisfied with the purchase of Day Passes and Attraction Tickets. Our group sales staff can work with you to create a fun day of activities. Call today for more details.

Rental: $175.00
Peak Time Rental Fee: $375.00 (Minimum)
Use Fee: $1.35 per person (Minimum - Saturdays and Sundays Memorial Day - Labor Day)
Use Fee Reduction: 30% credit from purchase of daypasses/tickets
Deposit: $100.00 (Required. Applied to balance.)
Must sign RFP Private Rental Agreement.
Other Services:
- Volleyball use and setup: $25.00
- Security person: $30.00 per hour per person (2 Hour Minimum)
- Security fencing: $160.00 (Minimum. Extra .50/foot)
- Extra electrical panel: $70.00 (Includes 220 service)
Northbank Shelter
The Northbank Shelter is located on the beautiful north bank of the Spokane River, overlooking the upper Spokane Falls and Canada Island. Located east of the historic Flour Mill and near the Spokane Arena, it is a popular location for company and convention lunches, dinners, and other group activities.
